Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and (if you verify WhatsApp) a Pakistan phone number. If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your Google account id, verified email, name, profile photo, and language preference so we can create or sign in to your Drop N Alert account. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, or calendar. We also collect usage data including pages visited, products you track, and alert preferences. Product titles, prices, and images shown on the site come from public brand storefronts so we can track prices and send you to the original shop.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide Drop N Alert, send the alerts you asked for, and communicate important service updates. Email alerts go to the address on your account. If you verify a WhatsApp number in Settings and leave WhatsApp alerts on, we also send those alerts (and a one-time verification code) to that number. Reply STOP on WhatsApp, turn the toggle off, or unlink the number to stop WhatsApp messages — email continues unless you remove the alert. Optional web push uses the same subscriptions if you allow it. You can turn alerts off or remove them from your dashboard. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use secure connections (HTTPS) for all data transfers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We regularly audit our security practices.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used. We use PostHog for product analytics and Google Analytics to see which pages and channels bring visitors. Google Analytics records pages viewed, device and browser information, and approximate location, along with signup, search, product views, wishlist adds, price-alert creation, and clicks through to the brand store. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Google Sign-In so you can create an account or log in with a Google account. We use PostHog and Google Analytics as described above, plus services for email verification, email delivery, error reporting, and (where you enable it) web push. If you opt in, we send WhatsApp messages to the number you verify — we do not send SMS. We do not process card payments during MVP. Catalog data comes from public brand storefronts; we deep-link you to the original shop. Those providers have their own privacy terms. If we add services later, we will update this policy.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To delete your account and associated data, email privacy@dropnalert.com from the address on the account. We do not yet offer a delete button in Settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
