Mughal-imperial, haute couture in ambition, and of pure empress-level magnificence — the Gold-Tone Hand-Carved Amethyst Purple Polki & Rose-Cut CZ Kundan Wide Choker Necklace & Drop Earrings Bridal Set is a bridal jewelry parure of the most extraordinary heritage craft. Hand-carved amethyst purple polki stones of organic, freeform beauty, each surface carved with sunburst and floral motifs in the finest Mughal lapidary tradition, set in individual gold micro-pavé borders alongside rose-cut CZ kundan stones in gold foil bezels — a composition that draws directly from the jewelry of the Mughal court.
The wide choker necklace is the heart of the set: a collar/choker of approximately 4 to 5cm width in a two-row tiered bib construction that sits close and commanding at the throat. The upper row carries the largest hand-carved amethyst purple polki stones — 6 to 8 freeform organic-shaped flat-back carved cabochons of approximately 18 to 25mm each, their surfaces carved with sunburst and floral patterns that catch the light in the distinctive, non-reflective way of hand-carved stone, entirely different from the flash of faceted gems. Each polki stone is individually framed in a border of round yellow CZ micro-pavé, the warm yellow of the pavé harmonizing with the antique gold setting to create a composition of warm, regal color. The lower row introduces smaller hand-carved amethyst polki stones interspersed with rose-cut/table-cut clear white CZ kundan stones in individual gold foil bezel settings — the clear kundan providing a luminous, mirror-like contrast to the carved purple polki above. Adjustable gold chain/thread closure at back with pearl/bead tassel finials.
The matching drop earrings complete the parure in a three-stone cluster format: one rectangular/cushion hand-carved amethyst polki in a gold micro-pavé border at the top, one clear rose-cut CZ kundan in a gold foil bezel in the middle, and one large freeform hand-carved amethyst polki in a gold micro-pavé border at the base — a miniature version of the necklace’s language of alternating carved polki and clear kundan, worn at the ear with push-back stud post closure.
