Inside are pages of 90g/m2 thick, acid-free paper in ink-safe quality. The notebooks are available in blank or with the special LAMY ruling: decide on each page anew whether you want to use it in ruled or squared appearance. Practical details such as an elastic closure strap, a loop for writing instruments, two bookmarks and a folding pocket in the cover top off the functionality.

The optoelectronic sensor reads the ncode pattern printed on the paper of the LAMY digital paper notebook and recognises handwriting and pages. Each page contains a tiny pattern - barely visible to the naked eye. These codes hold information unique to each page, including pen position. The neo.Lab ncode sensor reads the codes from the blank surface - the processor (CPU) contained in the pen performs the complex mathematical calculation to locate the pen position on the page.
